Drogba And A Host Of Other Players Set To Leave Chelsea If Mourinho Leaves

Didier Drogba does not seem happy at all at the kind of bad press Mourinho has been getting from outside and even within the club.

He strongly says that if Mourinho leaves and calls on him to follow he would indeed because he owes a lot to the Portuguese manager who brought him into the limelight. Drogba, who has signed a new 100,000 pounds a week contract, seems passionate in the way he talks about Jose Mourinho.

The Ivorian also claims and confirms this writer's belief that all is not well inside Chelsea. Their team spirit has disappeared and even says that not every one in the club is pulling in the same direction.

Quoting the Ivory Coast international, "I know what I owe him and so do men like John Terry and Frank Lampard". This infact points out that if Mourinho left he would in deed leave with a few if not a lot of the players.

Roman Abromavich needs to play his cards right and give the manager, who apparently lifted his club from the ashes, a second chance. After all he showed that he is more than capable of beating even the mighty Barcelona.

If however, he brings in a new manager, he could lose a lot of players who played vital roles in their first two English Premier League trophies and who are apparently keeping the Chelsea team in the title race.

Drogba also stated that Sir Alex and Arsene Wenger are fine coaches but they will never be as "box Office" as Mourinho. I agree with Drogba that they are not as top notch as Mourinho but where I draw the line is "never be".

As in they will never be as good as Mourinho. This may be the best thing that could happen to Arsene and Sir Alex because Mourinho might bring out the best in both of them as the two teams are exhibiting in this current season.

We are never certain of the future, so maybe they have it in them or maybe they don’t. Drogba also says the Premiership owes Mourinho for bringing a new lease of life to the English Premiership. I agree with him 100%.

If it wasn’t for Mourinho, a lot of people would be bored of the Premiership but he came at the right time to save or give a new lease of life to the Premiership. I would advice Abromavich to sit down and over a martini, think about what Mourinho has done for him and the club.

Mourinho is indeed as Drogba put it, "box office".
